1. Remove any flash images, they will not improve your overall positioning and if anything will have a detrimental affect as they will cause slow load speeds.

2. Sign up for one of the webmaster tools services. Most of the major players offer such a facility. You can use these to check how your different web pages will appear in any search engine and they will also give you solutions and tips to get a better placement.

3. Use an XML sitemap. This will help the search engine to understand which of your pages are grouped together.

4. Sign up for a service that offers information on the most commonly searched for keywords and phrases. This will help you to make sure that you have chosen the most relevant terms for your website.

5. Do your own search of the keywords that you think are important, and then go to the websites that have come up on the first results page. Check to see if it is possible to place links on these specific sites to your own. Links are a great way to increase the number of visitors.

6. Make sure you choose the right words for your Meta tags. The description needs to be well worded to attract people to come to your site.

7. Use different key words and phrases on each of your web pages. It is usually the case that each page will contain different information so you can use this to your benefit.
